Nani’s Story

In Hindi the word “Nani” means grandmother. Growing up I was raised by my Nani as my parents were very young, in their early twenties and they worked most of the time. My Nani was the one who raised me and contributed to my growth mentally and emotionally. She taught me about Islam, our religion, how to keep my faith strong. She emphasized the importance of culture and how the foundation for success is a strong family bond. Nani showed me the importance of respecting and honoring women. The list goes on but the man I am today is because of how Nani nurtured me.
